Objective of the connected workshop

The POWER CONNECT® gateway continuously measures the equipment’s electrical consumption and infers its operating state (idle, waiting, working), without intruding into the controllers. Combined with IOT Express® dematerialised KANBAN scheduling, it connects even a very heterogeneous fleet (FANUC, SIEMENS, ABB…) and makes the workshop manageable in real time.
A concrete example
Boutyplast, a specialist in machining plastics, aims to optimise its waiting times to produce more at constant resources, as part of a lean approach.
With POWER CONNECT®, Boutyplast measures the real state of each machine and its load rate, without individually connecting very heterogeneous controllers. Scheduling is fully dematerialised in KANBAN mode on IOT Express®: operators access the operations and priorities per machine, and barcode badging advances the digital travellers in real time, in sync with the ERP.
